About The Mayer Group

Daniel Gershburg

New York Liaison and Bankruptcy Advisor

Background

dngl2Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Daniel Gershburg always had an entrepreneurial spirit and an appreciation for the sacrifices of the members of America’s armed forces.  After graduating New York Law school, Daniel immediately opened the doors to his own law office, hoping to change the way small attorneys are perceived.  Besides being the Owner and President, Daniel is involved in various not for profit and Pro Bono initiatives including the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, and PENCIL.org.    He teaches Bankruptcy and Real Estate law for various CLE providers, including LexisNexis, Lawline.com and NACLE.com.

Daniel provides counsel on all areas of New York law and federal bankruptcy code, especially as it applies to veterans and servicemembers.

Eric, having watched “Escape from New York” too many times, refers to Daniel’s office as Forward Operating Base (FOB) New York. While nobody wears an eye patch, it should be noted that Daniel’s glasses are prescription.

Daniel’s law practice is independent from The Mayer Group, but he stands ready to help with all issues that arise from the jurisdictions in which he practices.
